Major climate and renewables conference in Sydney on 12-13 May
Australia’s biggest face-to-face, two-day energy event, Smart Energy 2021, will begin at Sydney’s International Convention Centre on 12-13 May, the day after the Federal Budget is handed down.
Headline speakers on Day 1 include:
- Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull
- NSW Energy Minister Matt Kean
- Chair of the Energy Security Board Kerry Schott
- British High Commissioner Vicki Treadell
- CEO of the Smart Energy Council, John Grimes
Keynote speakers will outline their visions for building a strong economy and a safe climate, indicate what climate policies the Australian Government should be adopting and/or respond to the Federal Budget.
Around 80 solar, battery storage and electric vehicle companies will be exhibiting their latest products at Smart Energy 2021.
CEO of the Smart Energy Council, John Grimes, said: “Smart Energy 2021 comes at a critical time, with the Australian Government under real pressure to outline national climate change and energy policies.
