Event overview
CEDA’s annual two-day State of the Nation conference continues today in Canberra. Day two will begin with a keynote address from Infrastructure Australia Chief Executive, Romilly Madew AO. State Treasurers from Victoria and NSW will also speak as a panel in the Great Hall, Parliament House.

Event overview
CEDA’s annual two-day State of the Nation conference begins today in Canberra featuring more than 20 leading speakers from politics, business, industry and community organisations. Day one speakers include: Chair, beyondblue and former Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Julia Gillard AC; Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon. Marise Payne; Attorney-General, Federal Minister for Industrial Relations, the Hon. Christian Porter; Federal Minister for Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts, the Hon. Paul Fletcher; Federal Shadow Treasurer, Dr Jim Chalmers and more.

This year CEDA celebrates 40 years of hosting the State of the Nation conference in Canberra and CEDA's new research report released this week, Company Pulse 2019 will form part of this year's theme. The report, based on a nationwide poll, provides insights on the community’s expectations of business and how these expectations compare with the priorities of business leaders.
