Tony Jones is one of Australia’s most respected journalists. Over two decades he hosted the national ABC (Australia) TV programs Lateline and Q&A. 
As an investigative reporter and foreign correspondent, he won 7 Walkley Awards. He covered the end of Soviet communism, the Balkan wars, the Gulf War, the rise of the mujahideen in Afghanistan and the end of South Africa’s apartheid.
Tony wrote the multi-award-winning Revelation, a recent landmark ABC documentary series on the cover up of child abuse in the Catholic Church.
Dr Lisa Jones-Engel
Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel is a primate scientist, Fulbright Scholar, and former biomedical research leader whose work has shaped global understanding of zoonotic disease and primate conservation.
During her decades-long career at the University of Washington, she led federally funded international research programs and published nearly 100 peer-reviewed papers spanning primatology, virology, epidemiology, and global health.
From fieldwork with orangutans, macaques and chimpanzees to years inside primate research facilities, her career has given her a rare perspective on both wildlife conservation and biomedical experimentation.
Now Chief Science Advisor at PETA, she draws on that firsthand scientific experience to examine what modern science reveals about primate sentience, cognition, and the capacity to suffer and what those discoveries demand of research, policy, and society.
