Workplace psychological injuries are probably the most difficult type of injury for employers to manage.
Managing psychological injuries - the benefits of getting it right
Workplace psychological injuries are probably the most difficult type of injury for employers to manage. They often give rise to heightened emotions and sometimes lead to poor return to work outcomes. They can also leave employers exposed to personal injury claims, industrial relations complaints, or both.
In this interactive seminar, partner Belinda Winter from our workplace relations and safety team will provide practical advice to employers on how to manage workers with psychological injuries to avoid adverse claims. Special counsel Chris Murphy from our workers’ compensation team will consider how good management of the injured worker by an employer can reduce common law damages payouts and how poor management can do the reverse.
We look forward to you joining in the discussion.
