Join Consult Australia for the new professional development course Managing Project for Disputes and Claims on June 3 and 4. Kiri Parr and Heidi Schweikert will take you through an online two-day interactive, workshop-based course as they provide you with valuable knowledge, tools and processes that you can use to proactively manage projects for disputes and claims. Who the Course is aimed at and Why? Claims and disputes are a common feature of construction projects in Australia and every business needs teams who are alive to this risk and have the skills to respond. This intensive 2-day course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, practical skills and tools needed to understand and navigate this very real risk. Day 1 focuses on setting the project up before the claim or dispute has emerged. You will learn how to build a project execution strategy that will help mitigate the risk of a dispute and claim arising, including practical sessions on how to build the templates and processes you will need, record management, building with your team and communicating with internal stakeholders. Day 2 shifts the focus to when a claim or dispute has arisen. Here we cover dispute pathways, claim strategy, building and managing a claim team, and dispute resolution. The course is ideal for both those delivering projects, technical leads, project managers and commercial managers, as well as your in-house legal, finance and commercial teams.
