Green Hydrogen & Ammonia - Queensland's Role in Powering Japan's 2050 Net Zero
March 6, Brisbane
Presented in partnership with QJCCI Premium Member, Herbert Smith Freehills
Queensland's emerging green hydrogen and ammonia industry could become the perfect clean energy source for a renewable future. With Japan committed to its 2050 'net zero' target, the Queensland-Japan relationship is moving beyond its traditional mainstays into a cleaner and greener future.
Presented in partnership with QJCCI Premium Member, Herbert Smith Freehills, the QJCCI is proud to host Japanese energy expert, Mr Shigeru Muraki, as keynote speaker on this topic of vital interest to both nations.
Mr Muraki has enjoyed a distinguished and lengthy career with leading Japanese energy company Tokyo Gas, serving in Tokyo and New York and rising to the role of Vice Chairman in 2014 and Executive Adviser since 2015.
His experience in the sector also includes serving as President of the Clean Fuel Ammonia Association and Regional Vice Chair for Asia Pacific and South Asia at the World Energy Council (2016-2022). He has also advised the Japanese Government, having served as Program Director of Energy Carriers for the SIP (Strategic Innovation Promotion program).
With Japan and Australia currently collaborating on both green hydrogen and ammonia, Mr Muraki will examine how such collaboration can be further strengthened and importantly Queensland's role in supporting Japan's net zero target.
This exclusive event is not to be missed for anyone with an interest in the future of the Queensland-Japan relationship and our emerging green energy industries.
