Getting back to International Business
Australia relies upon the steady inflow of international investment and access to global markets, and the closure of our borders to international movement has had serious impact and implications to our economy.
As Australia grapples with lockdowns and vaccine rollouts, what can the country expect in the months ahead? How can we reach a future where the country opens its international borders safely and with confidence and re-join the world? How can we build the psychological runway that citizens and politicians need to confidently move forward?
In this webinar, AmCham will draw on the findings of the independent Open Society, Common Purpose Taskforce, appointed by the Chancellor of the University of Sydney to determine the direction needed to get back to business.
This Taskforce, comprised of high-profile leaders from business, academia and civil society published its initial Roadmap to Reopening in May 2021, drawing on expertise from across Australia and beyond. Taskforce Chair Mark Rigotti from Herbert Smith Freehills will be joined on the panel by Jane Fitzgerald, Property Council of Australia COO and David Plank, Head of Australian Economics at ANZ.
