Gala Dinner Speaker Announced

This year's AIIA National Conference will be in person in Canberra on Monday 24 October. We are also planning a special dinner on the night of the conference. Discount tickets are available now. The in-person Gala Dinner speaker will be James Crabtree, Executive Director of IISS-Asia, the organisation responsible for the annual Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. The Gala Dinner will be held at the National Portrait Gallery, where diners will have the opportunity to peruse the collection before their meal.

Other speakers include Chair of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister MEP, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Birmingham, Monash Gender Peace and Security Centre Director Professor Jacqui True FAIIA, the Australian National University Emeritus Professor Hugh White AO FAIIA, and Perth US-Asia Centre Principal Policy Fellow Dr Huong Le Thu. Click here to check out other confirmed speakers, with more to come.
